Bulky and Special Collections
On the page you will find information about Vale Royal Borough Council's special collections service, including the collection of bulky items, fridge freezers, medical collections and the disposal of asbestos.
Bulky Items
If you need to dispose of a domestic bulky item but are unable to do so yourself we may be able to help.
Beds, sofas, chairs, tables, washing machines, carpets, dishwashers and many more items can be collected for a small charge. (Domestic fridges and freezers are free of charge.) Unfortunately, we do not collect any fixtures or fittings, building materials and garden waste.
However, you can take all the items above to your local Household Waste site. These sites are maintained by Cheshire County Council.
Making a Booking
The service aims to collect items within 10 working days from receipt of payment. All items are charged at £10, or £5 if you are in receipt of state pension or council tax benefit.
Bookings can be made by calling Environmental Operations on 0800 435199.
Collections will be made Tuesday – Friday and must be left in an accessible location. Our contractors will contact you in advance with a date for the collection.
Unwanted Furniture
The Council is working closely with Furniture Finders of Winsford to provide a service for reusing unwanted furniture.

Disposal of Asbestos

Clinical Waste Collections
Vale Royal Borough Council offers a clinical waste collection service to domestic households with referral from a medical practitioner.
