Supplementary Planning Document 4 - Landscape Sensitivity and Wind Turbine Development

This guidance in the Landscape Sensitivity and Wind Turbine Development SPD builds upon the work that has been undertaken for the Landscape Character Areas. The document assesses the capacity of each landscape type identified in the Landscape Character Assessment document to accommodate different scales of wind turbine development, from a single turbine to a large group of turbines.

The document also sets out guidance on how wind turbine development should be designed and sited so as to minimise their impacts on the landscape.
