| From 1 April 2009, Cheshire West and Chester Council is the new Council replacing Chester City Council, Ellesmere Port & Neston Borough Council, Vale Royal Borough Council and the western part of Cheshire County Council. The pages and documents through this website may contain branding and information relevant to the old councils, but are being made available because they are still relevant to our customers. We are continuing to update all materials on the Cheshire West and Chester website and aim to remove all references to the old Councils by the end of the year (2009). |
How can I recycle?
In April 2004 the Council introduced doorstep recycling to all 53,000 households in the Borough, giving everybody the opportunity to do their bit and recycle.
The scheme has proved hugely popular with over 90,000 people regularly joining in and recycling. Recycling is collected every fortnight from 7.00am using a green box, bag and brown-wheeled bin.
But the ways in which you can recycle need not just stop with you box and bag. There are a number of other ways you can do you bit and recycle including home composting, real nappies and plastic recycling.
You can find out more information about the many ways you can recycle in Vale Royal by using the links on this page .
