From 1 April 2009, Cheshire West and Chester Council is the new Council replacing Chester City Council, Ellesmere Port & Neston Borough Council, Vale Royal Borough Council and the western part of Cheshire County Council. The pages and documents through this website may contain branding and information relevant to the old councils, but are being made available because they are still relevant to our customers. We are continuing to update all materials on the Cheshire West and Chester website and aim to remove all references to the old Councils by the end of the year (2009).

Parking and Car Parks
The Council is committed to providing a high quality service to car park users. You will be dealt with in a courteous and professional manner and be assured of equal treatment at all times.

The Borough Council is responsible for providing and administering public off-street car parks within its district. The Council operates 25 off street car parks located in Northwich, Winsford, Frodsham, Helsby, Tarporley and Weaverham, supplying some 1,740 spaces including 90 reserved for blue badge holders.

The Council operates 13 car parks within the Northwich town centre, supplying some 1,300 spaces. There are also a number of other car parks in the town centre that are owned and operated by large stores and supermarkets.

The Council has a policy of providing free parking for users of the Borough's off street car parks but waiting at the two 'shoppers' car parks in Northwich, Victoria Club and Barons Quay, is limited to a maximum period of three hours.

The regulations governing the use of the Council's car parks in Northwich are set out in the Vale Royal Borough Council (Off Street Parking Places) Order 1998, made under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

If you would like to report a cleansing or maintenance issue or provide feedback on these services please use the Street Care Reporting Form or call 0800 435 199 or email environment@valeroyal.gov.uk
