From 1 April 2009, Cheshire West and Chester Council is the new Council replacing Chester City Council, Ellesmere Port & Neston Borough Council, Vale Royal Borough Council and the western part of Cheshire County Council. The pages and documents through this website may contain branding and information relevant to the old councils, but are being made available because they are still relevant to our customers. We are continuing to update all materials on the Cheshire West and Chester website and aim to remove all references to the old Councils by the end of the year (2009).

Things to remember when visiting a recycling site
- Combine your visit, wherever possible, with another journey to reduce pollution and conserve energy.

- Take your litter home with you or use the litter bin provided. Litter left on site is unsightly, can create a hazard and is costly to clear away.

- Bags or boxes of paper, bottles or cans left at the side of recycling banks will not be recycled. They will end up in a landfill site, as they would have done had you put them in a black sack or wheeled bin for collection along with the rest of your refuse.

- If you arrive at a recycling centre to find the banks full please take your recyclables to an alternative site or take them home with you and report the banks are full and require emptying on 0800 435199

- Click here for information about household waste sites.

Please note we are currently updating and reviewing the recycling sites across in the Borough. For the latest information on changes to the site list please contact 0800 435199.
