Elections and the Electoral Register
The Council is responsible for running all Borough, Parish, County, Parliamentary and European Elections held within the borough. These elections are held at specific time intervals unless a general election is called earlier for any reason.
The Council also runs bye-elections which may arise due to special circumstances, such as the death of a councillor, or a resignation.
Residents are urged to check that their names are on the Electoral Register so that they can cast their vote.
