From 1 April 2009, Cheshire West and Chester Council is the new Council replacing Chester City Council, Ellesmere Port & Neston Borough Council, Vale Royal Borough Council and the western part of Cheshire County Council. The pages and documents through this website may contain branding and information relevant to the old councils, but are being made available because they are still relevant to our customers. Voices in Vale Royal

Promoting visibility for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community

Voices in Vale Royal was established in 2003 and is supported by a number of organisations including Vale Royal Borough Council and Cheshire Constabulary. Its goal is to act as a consultation mechanism for various service providers who wished to ascertain the views of LGBT users. The Voices has grown and developed from the initial idea to become a fully autonomous group involved in a wide range of activities including training, promoting equality, social events and consultation.

Extending its remit from just a consultative group Voices has achieved several key milestones over the past 18 months, some of these key milestones include:
