| From 1 April 2009, Cheshire West and Chester Council is the new Council replacing Chester City Council, Ellesmere Port & Neston Borough Council, Vale Royal Borough Council and the western part of Cheshire County Council. The pages and documents through this website may contain branding and information relevant to the old councils, but are being made available because they are still relevant to our customers. We are continuing to update all materials on the Cheshire West and Chester website and aim to remove all references to the old Councils by the end of the year (2009). |
Environment & Environmental Services
|
Environment does not just mean the countryside.
The Environment is about everything around us from buildings, people, trees, the food we grow, sell and eat, historic monuments, forests, pests, licenses for businesses, animal control, waste and recycling and much more.
Vale Royal Borough Council is committed to providing a cleaner, safer, healthier and more attractive place to live and work or visit, by delivering services and working in partnerships with other organisations to achieve real improvements in the quality of life in the Borough.
This section deals with many important issues that cover everyday life in Vale Royal.
Examples of Environment & Environmental Services:
- Consultation and education to provide a vision for an environmentally friendly local community
- Provide a refuse collection and recycling service and easily accessable recycling sites to all residents in the Borough
- Enforce health and safety standards in all areas to protect residents and visitors
- Make sure new buildings comply with planning regulations
For more information and to see other directorates sevices, see the list on the right.
