Abandoned Vehicles

Abandoned vehicles are both a blight on the environment and may present a hazard. Vale Royal Borough Council is keen to work with residents to ensure such problem vehicles are removed. When an abandoned vehicle is reported, our staff will make a site visit and confirm that the vehicle is truly abandoned. A notice will be served and attempts to contact the owner made. However, if the vehicle is not moved or taxed it will then be removed and destroyed. |

What may determine an abandoned vehicle?
- The condition and location of the vehicle.
- The vehicle has not moved for a prolonged duration of time.
- The vehicle does not display a current tax disk.
